On Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Korean Knowledge Management Society Fall Academic Conference, Professor Kwahk Kee Young from Kookmin University's Graduate School of Business IT (Dean: Kim Nam Kyu) received the Most Cited Paper Award from the Journal of 『Knowledge Management Research』, while Master's student Ko Sang Hun (Master's Program 24) and Professor Ahn Hyun Chul received the Most Outstanding Paper Award.

The paper for which Professor Kwahk Kee Young received the Most Cited Paper Award is 「Structural Equation Modeling Using R: Analysis Procedure and Method」 published in Volume 20, Issue 1 of the Journal of Knowledge Management Research. It has been cited a total of 35 times since publication, demonstrating its high academic impact.

Meanwhile, the paper co-authored by Master's student Ko Sang Hun and Professor Ahn Hyun Chul, which won the Most Outstanding Paper Award, is 「Detecting Fake News in Korean Using Large Language Models: Limitations and Possibilities」 published in Volume 25, Issue 4 of the Journal of 『Knowledge Management Research』. This paper was selected as the most outstanding paper among a total of 43 papers published throughout 2024 through a vote by the editorial board.

The Journal of 『Knowledge Management Research』 is an academic journal indexed by the National Research Foundation of Korea, founded in 2000 by The Knowledge Management Society of Korea. As of 2024, it holds an Impact Factor (IF) of 1.74 and is listed in Q1 in the field of business administration, establishing it as an authoritative journal.

The awardees, Professor Kwahk Kee Young, Professor Ahn Hyun Chul, and Master's candidate Ko Sang Hun, are all participating in the Phase 4 BK21 Project. Since being selected for the Phase 4 BK21 Project in 2020, Kookmin University's Graduate School of Business IT has been operating the ‘Data Science Professional Training Team for Enhancing Social Health’ (Education and Research Team Leader: Kwahk Kee Young) for six years, contributing to the cultivation of future data talent.
