Cha Jin-young (Class of 2010), an alumna of our university’s Department of Public Administration, has been confirmed for appointment as an assistant professor at Louisiana State University–Shreveport, effective August 15, 2026.

Dr. Cha Jin-young enrolled in the School of Public Administration and Policy at Kookmin University in March 2010 and graduated in 2017. That same year, she entered the Department of Public Administration in the Graduate School at Kookmin University and earned her master’s degree in 2019. She then entered the Ph.D. program at Florida State University in 2021 and received her Ph.D. in August 2026.

During her graduate studies, which spanned both public administration and health administration, she published a total of six SSCI papers, including four as the lead author, thereby demonstrating her research capabilities in the fields of public administration, health administration, and policy analysis. After graduation, he was appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Health Administration at Louisiana State University–Shreveport in August 2026 and plans to continue his research and teaching there.
