Seo Hyun Jung, a Ph.D. candidate in the Management Major, Department of Business Administration, Graduate School of our university (Advisor: Professor Kim Na Jeong), received the Outstanding Paper Presentation Award at the ‘2025 Korean Academy of Leadership Fall Leadership Conference’ held on December 6.

The Korean Academy of Leadership, established in 2001 with participation from professors, researchers, and industry leaders, is Korea's leading academic organization in leadership studies. It promotes the development of related research and fosters academic exchange through its journal “Leadership Research” and regular academic conferences.

Student Seo Hyun Jeong presented on the topic “Analysis of Safety Leadership Research Trends through the Workplace Safety Immersion Perspective: Application of Quantitative Bibliometric Analysis Methods.” The conference judging panel comprehensively reviewed the presentation's academic contribution, design validity, and analytical rigor, selecting it for the Outstanding Paper Presentation Award. This research received high praise for systematically reviewing the literature in the field of safety leadership using quantitative bibliometric analysis and for presenting major research trends and future tasks from the perspective of workplace safety immersion.

This research was conducted as part of the project “Development and Validation of a Safety Leadership Scale: Focusing on a Dynamic Competency Model,” which student Seo Hyun Jeong is undertaking with support from the National Research Foundation of Korea. The study aims to structurally analyze safety leadership in industrial settings and establish a foundation for its measurement. This research achievement is recognized as having led to this award.

This award holds significance as it signifies that the research activities of our university's Department of Business Administration, Management Major doctoral program have been recognized as a meaningful achievement within the academic community.
