Master's students in the Department of Chemistry at our university's Graduate School have been selected for the Ministry of Education's 2025 Science and Engineering Master's Student Research Incentive Grant new projects.

The selected students are: 3 students advised by Professor Jeon Ju Won (Kim Sun Bin, Lee Jong Yun, Park So Yeon), 2 students advised by Professor Kim Young Hoon (Kang Da Young, Lee Yu Bin), and 1 student advised by Professor Ko Haye Min (Lee Yeon Hee).

The selected project topics are: ‘High-Performance Short-Wave Infrared Based on Eco-Friendly Ag2Te/Ag2Se Core/Shell Quantum Dots with Type-II Band Structure’ (Kang Da Young, Chemistry, 25), ‘Design and Application of ALD/MLD Composite Protective Layers to Suppress Volume Expansion and Side Reactions in Pure Silicon Anodes’ (Kim Sun Bin, Chemistry, 25), ‘Synthesis and Electrochemical Characterization of Biodegradable TEMPO Polymer Electrodes for Sustainable Organic Electrode Materials’ (Park So Yeon, Chemistry 25), ‘Efficient Synthesis of N-Heterocycles Involving Oxaziridine’ (Lee Yeon Hee, Chemistry 25), ‘Research on High-Brightness/High-Color-Purity PeLED Devices via Nonpolar Co-Solvent Purification of High-Quality Perovskite Quantum Dots’ (Lee Yu Bin, Chemistry 25), ' Interfacial Stabilization of Oxide Solid Electrolytes and Enhancement of All-Solid-State Battery Cycle Life via Self-Healing Polymer Layer (Lee Jong Yun, Chemistry 25)

This research is expected to overcome existing limitations while contributing new directions and commercialization opportunities to the field of chemistry.
