On April 23 (Wed), at the KINTEX in Ilsan, during the “2025 67th Spring Academic Conference of the Korean Society of Packaging,” themed “The Evolution of Packaging Technology Toward ESG,” Yoon Hyun-ji (Master's program, Food and Nutrition Department, Class of 2025, advised by Professor Jang Yoon-ji) from our university's Food and Nutrition Department received the Merit Poster Award.

This regular academic conference brings together domestic and international companies, industry-academia-research experts, and professionals in packaging technology to share research and development achievements across various fields such as packaging technology trends, materials, environmental sustainability, and systems. It aims to promote academic exchange, advance packaging technology development in diverse industries including pharmaceuticals, serve as a platform for introducing and disseminating advanced packaging technologies, and contribute to enhancing the technical standards of the domestic packaging industry and addressing global environmental issues. It is the largest specialized academic conference in packaging science and technology in Korea.

Yoon Hyun-ji conducted research on the topic “Development of Functional Hydrogel Packaging Materials for Enhanced Stability and Targeted Release of Bacteriophages” (Bioprotective hydrogel packaging for prolonged stability and targeted release of bacteriophage), receiving high praise for her work in the functional design of packaging materials and the improvement of bacteriophage delivery efficiency.
