On September 10, the Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung Ryul) University Job Plus Center held a special employment seminar titled “Secrets to Success Revealed by Interviewers” for unemployed young people in the Seoul area at the Gangnam-gu Single-Person Household Community Center.
 
This seminar was organized as the fourth session of a youth employment support program jointly operated by the Kookmin University Job Plus Center and the Gangnam-gu Single-Person Household Community Center. Participants learned how to prepare for real-world interviews, focusing on the factors actual interviewers look for during the hiring process, how to effectively answer interview questions, and strategies for responding to various situations.
 
Since signing a memorandum of understanding with the Gangnam-gu Single-Person Household Community Center last December, Kookmin University’s University Job Plus Center has been providing one-on-one job counseling and customized employment seminars to support unemployed young adults living alone in their career planning and job search preparations.
 
This year’s employment lecture series was structured in four sessions to help young people prepare for the job search process step by step—from designing their career paths to writing job applications and preparing for interviews. △January 29: “In the Age of Career Management, Map Out Your Career Roadmap!” △March 26: “In an Era of Compression and Crisis, Grow by Boarding the Startup Sailboat” △June 25: “How to Write a Competency-Based Job Application.” Following the interview workshop held today, this year’s program has come to a close.
 
In addition, the center is conducting one-on-one job counseling sessions tailored to each young person’s individual job preparation status and career concerns. Through these sessions, the center helps local youth assess their strengths and level of preparation, and supports them in developing the specific employment competencies required for the actual hiring process.
 
Kookmin University’s University Job Plus Center, with support from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, provides career and employment support services not only to current students and graduates but also to local youth. Moving forward, the center plans to continue operating customized programs that reflect the employment preparation stages and needs of young people, based on collaboration with relevant local organizations.
