Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung Ryul) announced that it held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with GLIWA and ITIV AI on the 6th in Room 404 of the Kookmin University Industry-Academic Innovation & Partnership Building. The ceremony was held to establish a strategic partnership with the shared goal of cultivating talent in the field of automotive software timing verification.

Attending the signing ceremony were Cristian Garzon, Director of Sales and Marketing at GLIWA, Christian Wenzel-Benner, Director of Training and Coaching at GLIWA, Jeon Dong Wook, CEO of ITIV AI, Team Leader Yoon Jae Sung and Section Chief Yoon Na Ra from ITIV AI, Kookmin University's Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation Sohn Jin Sik, Deputy Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation Lee Sang Ho, Professor Jeong Gu Min from the School of Electrical Engineering, and Professor Kim Jong Chan from the Department of Automobile and IT Convergence. Discussions centred on phased strategies and concrete mutual cooperation plans to drive full-scale collaboration forward.

Through this agreement, the three institutions are expected to collaborate across multiple areas, including: △ Support for T1 TIMING SUITE licences for educational purposes △ Technical and educational support for utilising educational licences △ Active sharing of information and resources.

Founded in Germany in 2003, GLIWA provides advanced solutions for the analysis, optimisation, and verification of embedded software and has undertaken various projects with major global automotive manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier-1 suppliers. Established in Korea in 2020, ITBAI is a specialist company in automotive software engineering and industrial artificial intelligence (AI).

Through this agreement, GLIWA's T1 TIMING SUITE educational licence will be provided to Kookmin University, with ITBAI responsible for the associated technical and educational support. Kookmin University plans to use this to provide students with more specialised automotive software education.

Cristian Garzon, Director of Sales and Marketing at GLIWA, stated, “Through this business agreement, we will work closely with Kookmin University to cultivate talent in the field of embedded timing verification, which is essential for improving the quality of automotive software operating in real-time environments. GLIWA will spare no effort in providing active support for education and technological advancement.”

Sohn Jin Sik, Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Center at Kookmin University, also remarked, “We are delighted that this agreement will establish a cooperative framework with GLIWA and ITBAI, thereby enhancing our university's educational quality.” He added, “We will spare no effort in providing university-level support to ensure this practical collaboration contributes to the mutual development of all three institutions.”

Jeon Dong Wook, CEO of ITBAI, responded, “The automotive industry is a core sector that will drive Korea's future.
