Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung Ryul) has partnered with Seoul Metropolitan Government to launch the “Seoul Learn Arts and Sports Class” for vulnerable youth considering careers or further education in the arts and physical education fields. Applications for participating students will be accepted for seven days from Wednesday, 12th November to Tuesday, 18th November.

Seoul Learn University is a Seoul Metropolitan Government policy initiative providing diverse educational services free of charge via a public platform to vulnerable groups facing difficulties accessing educational resources due to socio-economic reasons. The “Seoul Learn Arts and Sports Class” comprises four distinct classes. Under the guidance of Kookmin University professors and instructors, it will run for a total of six sessions on the Kookmin University campus during the winter break, from Monday, 12th January to Wednesday, 28th January. Students can apply for and attend their chosen class free of charge, based on their aptitude and career aspirations.

Kookmin University offers: ▲An art class where students learn the fundamentals of painting, including drawing, and complete distinctive works ▲A music class where students choose either violin or flute and practise orchestral ensemble pieces ▲A physical education class where students undergo an aptitude test and then choose either golf or Pilates to learn basic movements ▲A dance class where students experience various forms such as Korean traditional dance, ballet, and contemporary dance before creating their own choreography. These systematic and professional experiential and practical programmes in the arts and physical education foster students' creativity and expressive abilities.

Students wishing to participate can apply via Seoul Run membership verification from Wednesday, 12th November to Tuesday, 18th November. Final selections will be individually notified in early December.
