Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung-ryul) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SureSoft Tech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SureSoft) for industry-academia cooperation in the cultivation of automotive software engineering talent as part of the Ministry of Education's Advanced Field Innovation Fusion University Project (hereinafter referred to as COSS Project) Future Automotive Consortium.

SureSoft Tech, established in 2002, is a specialized software verification company with a track record of diverse software development and verification projects, achieving an average annual growth rate of approximately 16%. In 2013, the company obtained certification as an accredited testing laboratory in the software field from KOLAS (Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme), and has since provided software testing and verification services in accordance with international standards, continuously expanding its application areas.

This agreement focuses on cultivating practical software engineering talent needed for the future automotive industry. SureSoft will provide Kookmin University with human and material infrastructure for software tools and engineering practical training, while Kookmin University plans to develop and operate industry-academia collaboration micro-degrees linked to courses utilizing SureSoft's software tools. The agreement also includes collaboration between the two institutions in areas such as industry-academia cooperation, joint research and development projects, short- and long-term on-site internships for students, and employment linkage to foster talent development.

SureSoft Tech CEO Bae Hyun-seop said, “We are very pleased to combine our experience and expertise in software development and verification with Kookmin University's excellent educational capabilities through this agreement. We expect that the cooperation between the two institutions will contribute to the cultivation of talent and the establishment of a research ecosystem that can be immediately utilized in the future automotive industry.”
