Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung-ryul) will hold the “2nd Kookmin University Ceramic Art Sale” from Thursday, May 15 to Sunday, May 18, 2025, in the lobby of the main building of Kookmin University. This event will be held in conjunction with a jewelry sale organized in collaboration with the Department of Ceramic Art and the Department of Metal Art.

This exhibition and sale will showcase ceramic and metal artworks created by students and faculty members of Kookmin University, offering the general public an opportunity to easily experience and acquire artistic works. Additionally, a ceramic art experience program for children has been organized, making it an ideal event for family visitors.

The lounge will be open from 12:00 to 18:00 on May 15 (Thu), and a pottery experience program for children, “Make Your Own Pottery Cup and Plate,” will be held on a first-come, first-served basis from May 17 (Sat) to 18 (Sun). Participating ceramic artists include 35 renowned ceramic artists such as Kim Ik-young, Yoon Jang-sik, Kim Sang-man, Shin Ki-bok, and Kim Seok-bin, as well as 20 metal artists including Go Hee-seung, Lee Young-im, Choi Jae-wook, and Moon Chun-sun.

A representative from the National University of Korea Ceramic Art Sale Exhibition Office stated, “This event was planned with the aim of promoting public communication between ceramic art and metal art, and we hope that it will enable citizens to easily enjoy art in their daily lives and contribute to the revitalization of craft culture.”
