Kookmin Android App Renewal Completed

On April 20, continuing mobile web renewals, our Public Relations Team completed a renewal of Kookmin app to provide convenience and meet various demands for smart phone users. Since the service started on November 10, 2010, by answering requests about UI/UX improvement and suggestions through Kookmin tweet (@KMU_Tweet), new UI and ver. 1.10 app designed by UX was serviced approximately 230 days after its release. The Public Relations Team is also currently working on iPhone app renewal.

This renewal will be the same as recently renewed mobile app in the design, UI/UX and services menu. It is implemented to supply services optimized for the smart phone environment of the android system, such as standardizing the size and code of the app. It also works on the newest smart phones like Samsung Galaxy Tab, which has totally different solutions from existing smart phones.

The KMU Emblem NLD version made by Professor Kim, Min and 14 students from the Visual Design Department at the Graduate School of Techno Design last semester is being used for the loading screen of the application.

As a new method for actively dealing with digital broadcasting and mobile environment, NLD, which is an acronym for Narrative Logo Design is a part of an identity design system to deliver the unexplainable symbolic meanings and messages within a descriptive structure in planar and three dimensions.

The KMU Emblem NLD version used as the loading image has diverse images that show different forms of the map of the world and rotates 360 degrees. It has come into existence by the animation manufacturing experiment, which can be seen on the Internet or mobile environments.

If you are already the users of the app, it will automatically update the next time you use it. Otherwise, you can download it at the android app market for free.
