Computer Science major, Jae Young Ryu from Kookmin University, received the grand prize at the Samsung 'Bada Developer C

The Plopplop Team, which Jae Young Ryu-a senior from School of Computer Science of KMU- belongs to, won the glory of winning the contest in the category of Older and Wiser of 'Bada Developer Challenge', which Samsung Electronics has hosted for developers all over the world for seven months as of last May.

'Bada Developer Challenge' is a contest for an application working on the basis of Bada which is a Smartphone platform of Samsung Electronics. The Bada platform is very popular now around Europe as about 500 cellphones using the platform has been sold.

2077 teams from 54 countries participated in the 'Bada Developer Challenge' contest which has aroused big interest to developers all over the world because of the great prize 2,700,000 dollars. The contest was conducted under 8 categories. 100,000 dollars were awarded to the winner of each category and 300,000 dollars to the winner of the whole categories.

The Ploppplop team of Ryu Jae Young is comprised of 5 members carrying out roles as a developer, a planner and a designer from Kookmin Univ., Sogang Univ., Seoul Women's Univ. and Inha University. The Bling Bling Reader they developed is an application which searches and shows videos, images and various contents of encyclopedia after scanning words or sentences using the Wave Terminal. Also it shows many kinds of contents of nouns in a dynamic way by scanning some part of a book and tells what it is what you are reading now. It is available to store books searched so that you can manage easily what you want to remember or read.

The Plopplop team won 100,000 dollars taking the first place in the category of Older and Wiser and they will get a support for Marketing through Samsumg Apps.
