Han Joo Yeon, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Kookmin University and a member of Professor Choi Hyun Joo's research team (Nano Structured Materials Lab), has been awarded the ‘Doosan Enerbility Young Researcher Award’ presented by The Korean Institute of Metals and Materials.

This prestigious award recognizes young researchers who have achieved outstanding research results in the fields of metals and new materials, targeting researchers with high academic and technical contributions each year.

Han Joo Yeon has consistently pursued research focused on enhancing material performance through structural and property control. Her results demonstrate diverse application potential. In particular, her microstructure-control-based approach is expected to play a significant role in improving material durability and efficiency.

The ‘Doosan Enerbility Young Researcher Award’ is presented at the regular general meeting of The Korean Institute of Metals and Materials and is recognized as a platform for acknowledging academic achievement.
